NEW YEAR 2011

Wishing every one a bless New Year 2011. Hopefully 2011 will be another good year. It's a good time to reflect back what happen in 2010 and make amendments and corrective actions not to repeat the same thing moving forward in 2011. Whatever happened in 2010 cannot be undo. There is reason for everything that happen. No need to regret. Let's move forward and learn the past lesson. So let's make 2011 a GREAT year.

My 5 resolutions in 2011:
  1. Restore back my relationship with my family and friends.
  2. Reading books that had been collecting dust.
  3. Run my first full marathon.
  4. Climb the highest mountain in South East Asia (Mt. Kinabalu).
  5. Enrolling for a post graduate course (its always my dream to attend my own convocation).
and off course make more money than 2010.

Happy New Year 2011 !

Sacrifice

What does it take for a person to sacrifice? Does she really need to sacrifice? Is it worth it? I was touched by the story of a young lady that took over the role of a mother when her mum left home when she was 14 years old leaving behind 4 other siblings. She sacrifice her teenage years and drop out of school to take care of her siblings. After 7 years, not only her siblings are straight A students, they are very good kids too. How on earth she can find her strength to take on the role as a mother to her 4 siblings.

Just imagine waking up early in the morning to make breakfast, do laundry, house chores, prepare dinner etc. How can she manage as a teenager and where she got the inspiration and know what to do? She sacrificed her life for her siblings....

I am sure there are other great stories like that and great individuals which sacrificed their lives. But without going further, have we thought of persons close to us that have sacrifice for us. Without them, basically one's life might be incomplete or they were turning points in one's life.

In my opinions, we should be at least thankful for following persons that have scarifies for us (or at least be thankful for):
  1. Parents - that raise us to become who we are today
  2. Siblings - that allow us to share the good or bad moments together
  3. Friends - that always be there regardless good or bad times
  4. Teachers - that impart knowledge and guide us during early days of our lives
  5. Others - I am sure there are other individuals that have touched our soul and lives that scarifies so much of their own lives for us. This could be someone that cares, loves and made scarifies...
Bottom line, appreciate and be thankful to the persons that sacrifice for us......

First Time Blogging

Hello World! This is probably one of the most popular way to learn a new programming language and I will use this phrase to greet everyone in cyberspace. Isn't it amazing what humankind had achieved. My intention to start this blog is to express my thoughts or feelings. Human has resort to blogging, facebook or twitter to express oneself. So I thought why not I start a blog and see how long I can last. I will try to express what I find interesting.

24-Nov-2010 seen the passing of a great leader the late Tun Dato Seri Utama Dr Lim Chong Eu (28 May 1919 – 24 November 2010). I would like to express my sincere condolence to the family of late Tun Dato Seri Utama Dr Lim Chong Eu. The passing of the great statesman is a big loss to the nation especially to state of Penang. Late Tun Dato Seri Utama Dr Lim Chong Eu is always remembered as a visionary man. Dr Lim will be remembered for his legacy to transform Penang into Silicon Valley of the east ("Father of industrialisation"), built Komtar Tower (once the tallest building in Malaysia) and Penang bridge (one of world's longest bridge).

The late Tun had been instrumental to attract foreign direct investment to Penang. His effort has resulted in the booming of electronic manufacturing industry in Penang.

One of Dr Lim's most famous quote "putting yourself as a Malaysian first does not make you less of a Chinese or Malay". I strongly believe that this can become reality if we can have more leaders like him.
